Hi. I’m Ewan. Welcome to my website. It’s a domain of my own.
A Domain of One’s Own addresses the conundrum of individuality in the information age; it concerns the digital reinvention of one’s legacy, the creation of a solitary apparatus on the web to document & honor one’s past and present endeavors. A permanent personal space is extremely useful because the internet and the tools we use are in constant flux as our needs & style of work develop over our lifetimes. Documents, projects, ideas and achievements gather dust in disused google accounts, old computers, outdated services & countless other antiques across the sea of means at our disposal. That’s only assuming our work has a digital presence to begin with; the printed and hand-written are often relegated to shelves or rubbish bins, destined for incinerators. In a domain, these contributions can adorn a monument to a lifetime’s worth of work & learning.
